In July 2009 Tambo Campers wrote to all their customers inviting them to enter a photo competition with the theme "what camping in your Tambo is all about".
When the competition closed on 31st October 2009, Tambo had received close to 400 photos of campers and families in so many situations and locations that this wonderful country can offer.
The judging was extremely difficult. Originally there were to be 10-12 prizes depending on the quality of the entries. Keith and Amanda said "we were finding it extremely difficult to get down from 25 on the short list and in the end we thought we'd award prizes to 16 entries - why not!"
